Profile

Since 1980, the Center for Advanced Media Studies (CAMS) conducts media response seminars, crisis management and crisis communications training for senior executives around the world and develops crisis communications plans that work for major corporations. CAMS has taught executives at all levels effective public speaking skills, how to be "pro-active" in any crisis media situation and has given seminars on image enhancement and media management techniques.

From school superintendents and school administrators crisis management and crisis communications workshops, emergency services personnel seminars, to law enforcement officers media training, medical groups and association executives seminars on media management, CAMS instructors have given private and public sector executives the skills necessary to succeed when the lights are hot and the questions tough.

Our on-location media training seminars, and video-based teaching courses (that allow a communications or public relations professional to teach his or her own corporate media training programs), grew from our intimate experiences in the radio, television and print industries. Our staff is made up of media professionals. Having been correspondents, anchors, producers and directors, we not only have the "real world" knowledge of what works, but we tailor each seminar to make sure your particular group has the presentation skills and "on air" savvy it needs to "meet the press".

From developing "case studies" of actual crises that could happen within your company, to intensive on-camera interviews with playbacks and critiques, your organization will be an active participant in developing a communications program that works and gets results. Our entire media center is dedicated to making your appearance in any media a positive one, one that will bring credit to you and your organization.

Mission

Our mission by the end of our seminars is to have key communicators prepared for any speaking engagement, especially in the media. More than 50 techniques used by the pros are revealed to give your presenters positive exposure. We concentrate on using today’s media as a proactive resource, and will change forever the way your executives look at and respond to the media. Today’s capital is intellectual, and the way we communicate it is not only essential, but critical to any organizations growth and prosperity.
