Profile

Founded in 1994, the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) was established to provide opportunities to obtain guidance and support for business continuity professionals. The BCI provides an internationally recognised status and its wider role is to promote high standards of professional competence and commercial ethics in the provision, maintenance and services for Business Continuity Management (BCM).

Mission

The Business Continuity Institute's mission is to promote the art and science of Business Continuity Management worldwide.

Services

  • The association provides an internationally recognised Certification scheme for BCM managers and practitioners. The BCI Professional Recognition Programme creates a benchmark for the assessment of best practice in the field.
  • Furthermore, the BCI provides various membership benefits, including discounts for conferences, workshops and books, reduced magazine subscriptions, publications and a comprehensive web site.

Members

There are now over 1200 members of the Institute working in 29 countries across the world. Members are drawn from all sectors including Finance, Government, Health, Retail and Manufacturing.
